Description

Position Background

Dhulikhel Hospital seeks a clinical psychologist to help patients who are dealing with stress, trauma,
anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, and other emotional and mental health issues that affect their
well-being and quality of life.

Responsibilities and Deliverables:

Conduct initial assessments of patients’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans

Provide counselling sessions using various evidence-based modalities, such as cognitive- behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, or solution-focused therapy

Neuropsychological assessment for general cognitive functioning, learning disorders and ADHD in adults and children

Conduct programs on educating patients and their families on coping skills, stress management, and self-care strategies

Collaborate with other health care professionals, such as physicians, nurses and psychiatrists, to ensure coordinated and holistic care

Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient information and interventions

Conducting scientific studies of behavior patterns and cognitive function in all age group

Researching psychological, emotional, behavioral or organizational patterns and identifying issues

Diagnosing potential disorders and discussing methods of treatment with patients

Engagement in Academic activities and Research related with Psychology Researching and writing papers on clinical psychology issues and disorders

Educational Qualification
Master’s degree or higher in clinical psychology.

Experience
Experience working as a psychologist counsellor in a hospital or clinical setting
Experience in addressing psychological concerns of healthcare workers and medical students
Experience working with children, adolescents and adults with a range of mental health disorders
including anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, panic disorder, adjustment disorder as well as stress management and grief.
Experience of conducting systematic review, research publications.
